About Us

Caring Communities is a community-based charity providing programs to meet the growing needs of young people, parents, seniors and families.

Our vision is that all Australians feel a sense of belonging, safety and genuine care in their communities.

In today’s world people can find themselves stressed, overwhelmed and disconnected from their community. We aim to connect people to people, to build the capacity of families and to create communities where safety is valued.

At the heart of our services is meeting people wherever they are in life’s journey. We endeavour to work on an individual level, responding to the specific needs of each person we support.

about us

Caring Communities’ programs are based on our values of empathy, respect, equity and hope, with our key objectives being to:

CREATE

Create communities where there is safety, respect and connectedness for all community members.

ENHANCE

Enhance the social, emotional and cultural wellbeing of individuals and families.

REDUCE

WA Child Safety Services (WACSS)

WACSS is a service arm of Caring Communities Inc offering specialist child safety workshops for parents, carers and professionals in Protective Behaviours, Cyber Safety, and Child Protection (child abuse and neglect).

We also offer individual and group Protective Behaviours and Cyber Safety sessions for children and young people.

Led by Protective Behaviours pioneer, Justine O’Malley, our team draws on decades of experience working in child protection to improve the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and families. To find out more visit the WACSS website or Facebook page or call 1300 310 083.

Aged-care visiting service

Our volunteers visit aged-care residential facilities each week to offer company and a ‘listening ear’ to residents who may be experiencing loneliness or anxiety. This service aims to reduce isolation and connect residents to their community.

Community Workshops

Our qualified and experienced team offers workshops to build practical knowledge to deal with today’s issues. Our workshops include youth mental health, understanding PTSD, challenging behaviours and Protective Behaviours workshops.
